About This Project

Our clients purchased their 6-bed forever home a couple of years ago and have spent the last few years overseeing the build project with design and consultancy advice from our studio. After spending months searching in vain our client’s viewed this gorgeous double fronted Victorian semi – it was in a dilapidated state with roofs falling in, damp and mould everywhere and a wild garden.

They extended to create a large contemporary and modern open plan kitchen / dining area, leading from the more Victorian areas of the home. A key requirement was for the design to marry the old with the new, ensuring none of the period features were lost creating a contemporary and timeless family home. The design needed to be dynamic and graphic to suit the family’s personality.

The sitting room was designed as an inviting, comfortable and stylish room with the notable period features highlighted as a focal point to the room, while the stylish dark shades of blue provide elegance and impact.Keeping to the darker theme the master bedroom is both elegant and luxurious and we were inspired to create a sumptuous, Gatsby inspired bedroom that utilised intense, rich deep colours in this season’s green palette. The family areas (kitchen, TV Room / Study and bathroom) harmoniously complement the colour palette throughout while adding a strong design aesthetic through statement lighting, creative joinery and bright pops of colours on a calmer backdrop.

We also show two colour concepts from the design which represent the palette of greys and blues, lightened for the family spaces and darkened for the more adult living areas.
